Symbolica Unable to create InterPart Expression (IPE) with "Override Expression in Component Part"

The option to create interpart expression with "Override Expression in Component Part" was deprecated since NX10.

What is the workaround in later versions of NX? 

Solution

In later NX version, to create IPE with the option "Override Expression in Component Part" in the assembly file, you can create a new expression with the name as the syntax below:

"comp_part"::expression_name, or to be specific:
"9574185-comp"::p11

In this case 9574185-comp is the name of my component file.
p11 is the expression name in 9574185-comp.prt

In the Formula column enter the desired value to override the value in the component file.
In my case, I want it to be 2.

After hitting Apply to create IPE, you can see as below the name of the expression is changed to (Interpart) and NX creates a new expression p11:

Now you edit the value of p11 as you wish.
