Summary

Details

If I ran the plot after removing one printer from the settings.

A printer different from what I always used was selected.

Do Dialog memory remember not the name but the selection order?

1.At first, we had three printers.

Printer A

Printer B

Printer C

In my NX, "Printer B" was stored in DialogMemory.

2.Printer A has been deleted.

Printer B

Printer C

in my NX, Printer C was selected .

From the above, I thinkt that DialogMemory do not remember "name"(Printer B), DialogMemory remember Second from the top.

( When we increase or decrease the printer, we have to announce it to the user.Because Printer different from usual is selected.)

Solution

What happens is that the NX Plot dialog memory remembers the "last" selected Printer index (1) on exit.  When you relaunch the NX Print dialog again, the dialog memory "remembers" the Printer item index value and sets it to (1) without knowing that the same index is now pointing to a different value (of printer).

When a user modifies an existing Printer Profile, it is advised to hit the "Reset" icon at the top of the dialog to reset the dialog memory because the dialog has no knowledge that the contents of the profile is changed.
