NX Surface area value differs when calculated by "Measure Body", "Measure Face" and by "Advanced Mass Properties"

How to control the accuracy while calculating surface area by "Measure Body", "Measure Face" and by "Advanced Mass Properties".

Solution

All these 3 commands have different logical for calculating area, which may have tolerance issues between each other.

 In order to reduce the difference, you can try to using a higher accuracy for the calculation.

Select Analysis > Advanced Mass Properties > Weight Management, increase the accuracy to the maximun (0.999999).

Similarly set the accuracy to 0.999999 in Preferences > Measurement.

Now the surface area values calculated from all these three methods will be similar.
