When attempting to import the Solid Edge templates to Teamcenter, getting the following error message: "An unexpected error occurred while importing the Solid Edge templates.  Correct the issue using the information captured in the log file and then import your templates."

Solution

This can occur if the Teamcenter preference, SEEC_ItemTypeList for Solid Edge files types does not include the item type of "Item" in the lists.
