The customer is saving their models as 3D PDF to send to their customer. When the customer saves parts that are white in the 3D model, the part looks grey in the 3D PDF.
In Solid Edge one of the components is white colored:
Opening the 3D PDF the white component will be displayed as grey:
Solution
There is no solution to the request to make the 3D PDF display the same as Solid Edge.
The colors in the 3D PDF are identical to those from the Solid Edge face style. Solid Edge does not control the lighting calculation used by the 3D PDF viewer and this is a common issue between various 3D applications and white is an especially difficult color to render "correctly" using the standard lighting algorithm.
It is possible to define a style in Solid Edge that will appear "more white" by adding some amount of intensity to the emission color (e.g., medium grey).
