Engraving Planar Text

The tool path is following the outline of the text instead of creating a path following the centerline of the character.

Solution

Select the "Note" in the graphics screen and edit the "Settings" of the "Note".

Instead of using a font that has a width to the characters, choose "blockfont".

The "single" sided path is seen below.
