User found an Inter-Part link in a sheetmetal file, that has to be deleted because they are working with a database. The Inter-Part link is seen in Design Manager under Show parents:
When opening the file in Solid Edge, there is no link to be seen:
Solution
The Link is not broken, the link is still valid, but the file and the machine, where the link to the assembly points to, is not found, for example, it may be on another network.
The link can nevertheless be deleted:
In Inter-Part Manager select the listed File with Right Mouse Button and then in the Context Menu pick the option: "Break Links"
Although no Links are listed, the "Break Links" command will still break the link to the assembly, so that after saving the file no Parents will be listed In Design Manager.
