Summary

Details

When using "Manual Rectangle" as view boundary in Drafting and shorten the view, center lines and dimensions disappear from the view.

Solution

The purpose of a Manual Rectangle View Boundary is to hide unwanted geometry and annotations in a view.
When you specify a Manual Boundary and Center Marks or Center Lines, and their referencing dimensions, are outside the redefined boundary, you'll get a message and they will be hidden.
When you dimension to geometry that lies outside the Manual Boundary, the dimension gets retained.

When re-creating the (Manual Rectangle) view, so that it's larger and covers the centerline (which is also an Origin point for the dimensions), the view update doesn't hide the annotations.

From NX11.0.1 onward NX processes the Centerline(s) and annotation(s) terminating on it.
NX hides all annotations :

 1. Which are outside the view boundary
 2. Who's terminating object lies outside the view boundary.
