Solid Edge Data management is not working with Windows 10 version 1903; why not and how to resolve?
Solution
With Windows 10 version 1903 Microsoft has introduced new "Enhanced Search" functionality. This "Enhanced Search" currently does not work with Solid Edge Data Management.
In order to get Solid Edge Data Management working again with Windows 10 1903 you must disable Enhanced Search" and instead enable "Classic Search".
To enable "Classic Search"...
Select "Start" -> "Settings":
In the "Windows Settings" window select "Search":
Select "Searching Windows":
In the "Searching Windows" window select "Classic":
Close out of the Settings windows.
Once "Classic Search" is enabled and you allow time for the Windows Search indexing processes to be completed, Solid Edge Data Management should once again work as expected.
