Summary

Details

Adding a parts list from a custom palette template doesn't keep the parts list levels setting and drops the "Sub-Child Part" option in NX1847 series.

To see the desired components, the user needs to modify the imported parts list though 'Edit Levels' command and turn on the "Sub-Child Part" option manually again.

Solution

The customer defaults have been changed in NX 1847 for Parts Lists.
In order to get the desired results, the new customer default "Drafting_plistTopLevelAssembly" needs to be changed from its default value "Child Part" to "Sub-child Part".

This default can be found in the Customize Drafting Standard dialog, see

  1. File -> Utilities -> Customer Defaults
  2. Drafting -> General/Setup node -> Standard tab -> Customize Standard
  3. Table -> Parts List node -> Workflow tab -> Show Levels -> Top Level Assembly
