The customer has a subscription license and is logged in with non administrative rights; when starting Solid Edge, the SolidEdgeSLU.exe is launched and always asks for administrative rights through User Account Control (UAC) to execute.
The customer is not willing to give all of their users administrative rights for to run the .exe file, so the question is, if there is at least a workaround for this issue.
Solution
There are two possible workarounds...
1) Click on the Solid Edge shortcut on the Desktop with the right mouse mutton and in the context menu select "Run as Administrator"
2) The alternative workaround is for the company's IT team to edit the properties of the SolidEdgeSLU.exe, that resides in the Solid Edge Program directory and under the Security tab enable the "Read and execute" option for the Users group:
