Details

The default method for plotting results is to select a motion variable and view the results with respect to time. There are additional steps required in order to view a plot with respect to another motion variable.

Solution

In order to set another motion variables as the independent variable in a plot, the user must set the desired motion variable as the X-axis for the next plot to be created. To do this find the desired variable by selecting the related element in the Motion Navigator and choosing the variable from the XY Result View list. Right click on the variable and select "Set as X-axis".


The variable will be found saved under the Solution Case -> Results -> XY-Graphing.


Next find the variable for the Y-axis and plot this by right clicking on the variable and selecting Plot. The resulting plot will have the newly selected X-axis. The X-axis can be changed back to Time by right clicking on the Time variable under the Solution Case as shown in the picture above.
