In NX9, all the menu fonts are italicized.
Solution
NX uses the Lucida Sans font by default for all its menu text.
If this font is not present or is corrupt, the NX menu text will display
italicized.
There are two workarounds.
Option #1 - Change the Windows Style Preference:
1a. Select 'Preferences-->User Interface'.
1b. Select the 'Layout' tab.
1c. Toggle 'Windows Style' to 'NX with System Font'.
1d. OK the User Interface Preferences dialog.
Option #2 - Re-install the Lucinda Sans font:
2a. On a workstation where the NX menu text is displayed correctly,
Open Windows Explorer and browse to the following directory:
C:\Windows\Fonts
2b. Copy the Lucida Sans font to a thumb drive or network location.
2c. On the problem workstation, paste the Lucida Sans font in the directory:
C:\Windows\Fonts
2d. Restart NX. All menus will no longer display as italicized.
