Currently the CMM programmer inserts external DMIS commands into the DMIS code exported by the JED, by manually editing the file after it is created. Will NX CMM support this capability, and will the DMIS import tool support these kinds of codes?
Solution
NX CMM will allow any statement to be typed in, so CALL/EXTERN (for example) can be typed in at any point in the program. These statements are then written to the output DMIS file by the post-processor exactly as entered.
The NX CMM Inspection DMIS import tool (to be released in NX 11.0.1) will also support these statements, as it takes any statement it doesn't recognize and imports it as if it had been typed in.
