How can existing Exploded Views in an assembly be viewed using NX Viewer?
Solution
In NX, each Exploded View can be assigned to a different Model View. Then in
NX Viewer, the different Model Views can be made active to display the active
Explosion in each Model View.
In NX:
1. Open the assembly that contains the existing Explosions.
2. Select 'Assemblies-->Exploded Views-->Show Toolbar' to display the
Exploded Views toolbar.
3. In the Part Navigator, expand 'Model Views'.
4. In the Part Navigator, select 'Model Views',
'MouseButton3(MB3)-->Add View'.
5. Name the view the same name as one of the Exploded Views.
6. If the new Model View did not automatically become the active work view,
double-click on the new Model View to make it the work view.
7. In the Exploded Views toolbar, toggle to the Exploded View by the
same name as the active Model View.
8. Repeat steps 4-7 for each Exploded View in the assembly.
9. Once a Model View has been created for each Exploded View and each
Model View has been assigned its corresponding Exploded View,
select 'File-->Save' to save the assembly file.
In NX Viewer:
1. Open the assembly.
2. In the Part Navigator, expand 'Model Views'.
3. Double-click a Model View to make it the active work view.
The Exploded View assigned to this Model View will be displayed.
Now different Model Views can be made active in NX Viewer to see each of the
Exploded Views.
