How to create a spline by reading points from am external file?

Solution

The ability to create a Spline by importing point coordinates from an external file (Points from File) is only available in the legacy Spline function, and it is not shown in the user interface by default since it is a legacy function that mayl be retired in the future. To restore it perform the following steps:


o MB3 --> Customize from the toolbar area 
o Select the Commands tab 
o Expand Menu-> "Insert" 
o Select "Curve" 
o Scroll down to "Spline (to be retired)" and click and drag it onto the Insert --> Curve drop down menu (or add it to a toolbar if desired)
