NX Create a Modeling CGM with Hidden Edges Removed.

Create CGM from Modeling application with hidden edges removed in NX.

Solution

To remove the hidden edges so they do not display in a CGM:


1. Set the current display to "Static Wireframe".

2. NX12 and earlier releases: 'Preferences -> Visualization -> Visual (tab) -> General Display Settings ->  Part Settings (Selected Views) -> Rendering Style: Static wireframe ->  Edge display settings -> Hidden Lines: Invisible.





NX1847 and later releases: 'Preferences -> Visualization -> Rendering -> Styles ->  Render Style: Static Wireframe -> Static Hidden Edges: Invisible'.




Now create the CGM which will only export the displayed edges and not the hidden edges while in the Modeling application.
