NX for Manufacturing

Summary

Details

When posting a multi-axis program the tool retracts from the part and rewinds during a rotary move. Although the rotary limits were specified in the Machine Tool(Tab) -> Fourth Axis (and Fifth Axis) -> Axis Limits -> Maximum and Minimum these limits are not being honored. What could be causing these rotary limits to work incorrectly in Post Builder?

Solution

After the limits are changed verify that the settings located in NC Data Definition(Tab) -> Word(Tab) -> Fourth (or Fifth Axis) -> Maximum or Minimum exceed the limits on the Machine Tool(Tab). These values by default should be set to 9999.9999 and -9999.9999. If these are set too small they will overwrite the Machine Tool(Tab) -> Axis Limits.
