How to use an image file for the background in Modeling.
Solution
1. Select 'View-->Visualization-->Basic Scene Editor'.
2. Select the 'Background' tab.
3. From the 'Background' drop down menu, select 'Image File'.
4. In the Background Image group, select the 'Choose Image File' icon.
5. Browse and select the desired .jpg, .tiff, or .png image file.
6. OK the Background Image dialog.
7. OK the Basic Scene Editor dialog.
The image file will display in the NX background.
This image will only display in the background of the current view. If the view
is changed, the background image will no longer be displayed.
