Setting Customer Defaults To Always Save JT Files with Parts.

Set Customer Default to save JT files when saving NX parts.

Solution

 The options location: 


 'File -> Utilities -> Customer Defaults -> Gateway ->  JT Files -> Import/Export (tab) -> Export Options:
 (check) Save JT Data'.

This will always save JT files by default when saving NX part files.

This is a session-dependent function and is therefore not retained per file, but only when each user has this actively set this in an NX session.

All Customer Default options regarding JT files can be quickly found by using the search option (binoculars button); (type) "JT" and press "Find" button.


Users can interactively set NX to save JT's from within the NX session using the earlier release steps:


 'File -> Options -> Save Options -> (check on) Save JT Data'.



Or, the later NX release steps:

'File -> Save -> Save Options -> (check on) Save JT Data'.


Also, to configure the JT files, select 'Preferences -> JT' in the interactive NX session or edit the file


NX7.5 and earlier: C:\Program Files\UGS\NX 7.5\PVTRANS\tessUG.config 

NX8 and later: C:\Program Files\Siemens\NX 8.0\PVTRANS\tessUG.config
