Why is the WAVE linked geometry in an assembly unable to be exploded?
Solution
The WAVE geometry needs to be made position independent into order for it to be
moved independently or exploded. However, when an 'Edit Parameters' is
performed on a WAVE Linked Body, the 'Make Position Independent' option is
missing from the WAVE Geometry Linker dialog.
A WAVE license is needed for the 'Make Position Independent' option to appear
in the dialog.
To determine if a WAVE license is available:
1. In the Assembly Navigator, hover the cursor over one of the column headers.
2. 'MouseButton3-->WAVE Mode'.
If 'WAVE Mode' turns ON successfully, a WAVE license can be obtained.
However, if the following message is received, a WAVE license is not available:
Unable to obtain a WAVE Control license.
If a WAVE license is not available, this could be the reason why the 'Make
Position Independent' option does not appear in the WAVE Geometry Linker
dialog.
