NX Creating a Geometry Group in the Machining Feature Navigator that Only has the Holes on a Certain Face

Only the holes on a selected face need to be drilled. Is there a way to create a Geometry Group that only has those holes without having to select them manually?

Solution

1. Run Find Features in the Machining Feature Navigator to select all the holes in the part.

2. While all the holes are highlighted press MB3 -> Group Features.

3. On the Group Features dialog set Method -> Below Top Face and then select the desired face.

4. Further refine the search by selecting only the threaded holes from the Feature Types menu and then press Create Feature Groups.

5. The threaded hole group is created as seen in the Operation Navigator Geometry View.
