Summary

Details

In Visualization Preferences, on the 'Names/Borders' tab, there is an option to
'Show Object Names'.
With 'Show Object Names' set to any option except 'Off', names of objects will appear in the graphical area of NX.
However, this option turns on/off all object names.
How can the name display of specific objects (such as solid bodies, datums, datum axis, etc.) be turned off?

Solution

Specific object names cannot be turned off. However, if the name is removed
from the object, then the name will not appear for that object.
1. Open the Part Navigator.
2. Turn OFF 'Timestamp Order'.
Hover the cursor over a column header, 'MouseButton3-->Timestamp Order'.
3. Highlight the object to turn off the name display (such as solid body,
 datum, datum axis, etc.).
4. MouseButton3-->Properties.
5. Select the 'General' tab.
6. Select the 'Delete Names' ("X") button to remove the name of the object.
7. OK the Properties dialog.
The name has been removed for that object and will no longer display in the
graphical area of NX.
