Can 'Set Rotate Point' and 'Clear Rotate Point' be assigned to a keyboard
shortcut or a hotkey?

Solution

In NX7.5, it is not possible to make 'Set Rotate Point' or 'Clear Rotate Point'
a hotkey.
However, in NX8.5, they have the following default keyboard shortcuts
that can be modified:
- Set Rotation Reference (Ctrl+F2)
- Clear Rotation Reference (Ctrl+F3)

Because of changes made to the menu in NX8.0, a hotkey can be set for
both of these commands in NX8.0. The following instructions will also work the
same in NX8.5 to modify the assigned keyboard shortcuts.
1. Perform a 'MB3-->Set Rotate Point' command in the graphics area of NX.
2. Perform a 'MB3-->Clear Rotate Point' command in the graphics area of NX.
3. Select 'Tools-->Customize'.
4. Select the 'Keyboard' button.
5. In the 'Categories' window, under 'View Shortcut Menu',
 highlight 'Repeat Command'.
6. Under the 'Commands' window, highlight 'Set Rotate Point'.
7. Place the cursor into the 'Press new shortcut key' field.
8. Perform the desired keyboard shortcut (for example perform: Cntrl+Alt+F5).
NOTE: The shortcut text will be placed into the field.
9. Specify the desired option for, 'Use new shortcut in'.
10. Select the 'Assign' button.
11. Repeat steps 6-10 to also assign a keyboard shortcut to
 'Clear Rotate Point'.
12. Close the Customize Keyboard dialog.
13. Close the Customize dialog.
