Export IGES Data Without any Analytical Data, only B-Surfaces.

Solution

Copy the IGES defaults file "igesexport.def" which can be found within the 'File -> Export -> IGES -> Files (tab) -> Setting File: Save Setting to file' and place into a new folder, keeping the same name or rename the file, then press the "Save" icon.

Modify the copied defaults file "igesexport.def" file by opening in Wordpad and change the line from "FORCE_B-SURFACES =No", to "FORCE_B-SURFACES =Yes". This will remove all analytical data from the surfaces and only create B-surface data.


While in the existing modified "igesexport.def" select, 'File -> Export -> IGES -> Files (tab) -> Setting File: Load from' select the newly edited file "igesexport.def" and then press OK to start the IGES export. NX will remember to continue using this file once these steps are done in NX using Dialog Memory.


Setting FORCE_B-SURFACES to 'Yes' to output only B-surfaces to the IGES file. This setting will override the SURFREV_MAP and SURFREV_MAP settings.
