Methods to disable the "Auto Align" behavior for dimensions or annotation

How can a user avoid the auto-alignment behavior when placing dimensions or annotation in NX drawings?

Solution

 There are 2 solutions to this question.


1) To TEMPORARILY disable this behavior: 


Hold down the <ALT> key down while you are placing the annotation.


2) To disable this behavior in current and future sessions:


During your session you need to set Auto-Alignment in the current dialog to OFF and this setting will be written to your dialog memory and recalled next time you access the dialog.


Also Note:
Menu --> Preferences --> Drafting --> Common --> Workflow --> Preview Alignment --> toggle OFF Dynamic Alignment in Global Selection to control the auto alignment of EXISTING annotation.
