Solution

 Create the custom symbol with modifiable text. 
1. On the drawing, create the entities to include in the custom symbol. 
 Create the desired lines, curves, and the annotation note(s). 
2. Select 'Insert-->Symbol-->Define Custom Symbol'. 
3. In the dialog, under the Folder View section, select the folder to store 
 the custom symbol. 
4. Under the Symbol Name section, specify a name for the custom symbol. 
5. Under the Symbol Content section, highlight the prompt to 'Select Objects'. 
6. Select the curves and notes to include in the symbol. 
7. Under the Anchor section, highlight the prompt to 'Specify Point'. 
8. Select the point to use as the anchor for your symbol. 
9. Under the Symbol Attributes Section, change Image Capture option 
 'Input = Region'. 
10. Highlight the prompt to 'Define Region'. 
11. Window or draw a rectangle around the entities used in the symbol to 
 create a preview image. 
12. Under the Leader Attachment section, specify if a Left Leader or 
 Right Leader is desired. 
13. When the symbol contains annotation, there will be a Text Attributes 
 section. In this section, highlight the annotation in the List. 
14. Enter the Note Title. 
15. If the text in the annotation is to be modified when placing the symbol, 
 change 'Text Type = Arbitrary'. 
16. Enter the default annotation text in the 'Note' field. 
17. OK the Define Custom Symbol dialog.


Place the custom symbol and change the text: 
1. Select 'Insert-->Symbol-->Custom Symbol'. 
2. In the dialog, under the Folder View section, select the folder where 
 the symbol is stored. 
3. Under the Symbol View section, double-click the symbol to be placed. 
4. Under the Symbol Attributes section, highlight the Note Title to change. 
5. Enter the desired text in the 'Enter Text' field. 
6. Set other desired options. 
 For example: Under the Settings section, set the 'Annotation Preferences' 
 and the 'Geometry Preferences'. 
7. [Optional:] Under the Origin section, highlight the prompt for 
 Annotation View, 'Select View'. Then select the view to be associated 
 to the symbol. 
8. Under the Origin section, highlight the prompt to 'Specify Location'. 
9. Place the symbol on the drawing. 
10. Close the Custom Symbol dialog.
