How to configure the Parts List to individually list multiple occurrences of
the same component.
Solution
This can be done if each occurrence of the component has a unique assembly
level attribute.
1. In the Assembly Navigator, select the component,
'MouseButton3 (MB3)-->Properties'.
2. Select the 'Attributes' tab.
3. Toggle 'Context' to 'Apply to Component'.
4. Create an attribute for the component with a unique value.
For example: ABC = 123
5. OK the Component Properties dialog.
6. Repeat steps 1-5 for each occurrence of the component.
Assign the same attribute to all occurrences of the component,
except each component should have a unique value for the attribute.
For example: ABC = 456
ABC = 789
7. Add the Parts List to the Drawing and modify it to read the new attribute.
A. In the Parts List, select the far right column,
'MB3-->Insert-->Columns to the Right'.
B. Select the newly inserted column, 'MB3-->Style'.
C. Select the 'Columns' tab.
D. Select the 'Attribute Names' icon.
E. Select the new attribute created on the components from the list.
F. OK the Attribute Name dialog.
G. Toggle on 'Key Field'.
H. OK the Annotation Style dialog.
The Parts List will now update to show each occurrence of the component as a
separate entry in the Part List.
