Summary

Details

When using 'Edit - Object Display...' and selecting a Solid Body, the 'Partially Shading' option has a square in its check box, rather than containing a tick or not being selected. This indicates that some (or all) of faces within the solid body have the 'Partially Shaded' option set. This can result in unexpected or inconsistent results when using the 'Partially Shaded' option in Drafting views.

Solution

To set the partially shaded option for the whole body of the part, use the following procedure:

1. Use 'Edit - Object Display...' and set the selection filter to 'Face', select all the faces of the body, OK.

2. On the 'Edit Object Display' dialog, expand the 'Shaded Display' group and uncheck the 'Partially Shaded' option. OK.

3. Again select 'Edit - Object Display...', select the Solid Body of the part, OK, note that the 'Partially Shaded' option is unchecked, rather than containing a square, enable the 'Partially Shaded' option. OK.
