NX for Design

Summary

Details

When importing an assembly that contains multiple revisions of the same part,
the import is creating two separate parts in Teamcenter.

For example, when importing an assembly (using Auto Translate), that contains
a revision A and B of the same part, only revision A is imported correctly.
Revision B is imported using Auto Generate and given a new number.

Parts included in import:
ABCDE_001.prt
ABCDE_002.prt

The parts are imported as:
@DB/ABCDE/001
@DB/0011/001

Solution

 If subsequent revisions are imported using Auto Generate instead of Auto
Translate when the 'Enable Multiple Revisions' option is toggled off.
Please toggle on 'Enable Multiple Revisions' in Customer Defaults.
1. Select 'File-->Utilities-->Customer Defaults'.
2. Expand 'Teamcenter Integration for NX' and highlight 'General'.
3. Select the 'Multiple Revisions' tab.
4. Toggle ON 'Enable Multiple Revisions'.
5. OK the Customer Defaults dialog.
6. Re-start NX.

Once 'Enable Multiple Revisions' is toggled on, the import of both parts is
successful using Auto Translate.
@DB/ABCDE/001
@DB/ABCDE/002
