Summary

Details

On single parts, the Weight value displayed in the Assembly Navigator
differs from the Weight value given by the 'Measure Bodies' command.

Solution

The Assembly Navigator weight value is based on the Reference Set specified in
the 'Analysis-->Advanced Mass Properties-->Advanced Weight Management' command.

In 'Advanced Weight Management', if the Reference Set is set to 'Entire Part',
the entire part is used in the weight calculations. This could result in
inaccurate weights for parts with more than one body (for example, sheetmetal
parts with a flat solid).

Verify that only the body needed for the weight calculation is in a specified
reference set. Then in 'Advanced Weight Management', use this reference set.

When 'Weight' is updated in the part's Properties, the Assembly Navigator
should display the weight for only those bodies used in the specified reference
set.
