How to add appended text to an NX sketch dimension?

Occasionally you might find it necessary to add some additional reference text notes to sketch dimensions in the form of appended text.

Solution

To add a note as text appended to a sketch dimension perform the following steps:


o Select a sketch dimension after it is created
o Use MB3-> Edit...
o Toggle ON Enable Dimension Scene Dialogs to activate appended text editor access on dimension


o Select the "Text" icon on the dimension dialog to enter the Text Editor
o Select the Edit Appended Text icon to activate that dialog

o Select the desired Text Location from the drop down list
o Enter the text in the Text Input area

o Close all the dialogs to apply the appended text
