When using "See Through Style: Layers", the user is unable to select edges on translucent bodies.
Solution
When using the Ribbon interface 'File -> Preferences -> Visualization -> Emphasis (tab) -> Shaded Geometry De-Emphasis -> See Through Style: Layers'.
Or when using the old classic interface 'Preferences -> Visualization -> Emphasis (tab) -> Shaded Geometry De-Emphasis -> See Through Style: Layers'.
And in NX8.5 and earlier the function is located in the even older classic interface 'Preferences -> Visualization -> Faceting (tab) -> Session Settings -> See Through Settings -> (check the box) See-Thru -> (select in drop down) Layers', the user is unable to select edges on translucent bodies.
The user is unable to select edges on translucent bodies in each of these different NX series of releases.
The solution is to turn on the option found on the old style Legacy "Selection Toolbar" and in the Ribbon interface within the "Selection group" of which both are found on the Top Border Bar, by pressing on the on and off button option:
"Allow selection of hidden wireframe"
