NX NXOpen: Unable to sign C++ dll

When trying to sign a C++ dll using NX the error is presented:


Checking for the presence of c_p_p_author license. 
Signing files... 
Error signing application, <name>.dll. 
Application has not been compiled with NXSigningResource.cpp.

Solution

Check that the dll was compiled with the proprly supported version of Visual Studio for the version of NX that you are running. A mis-match in Visual Studio versions can cause this error message.
