The user creates an operation and generates it so the complete tool path is calculated. Then a Non-Cutting Moves option is changed. When generating the operation again the new Smart Regenerate function only generates the non-cutting part of the tool path. The user saves and closes the part. When reopening the part, changing some Non-Cutting Moves option and generating the operation the entire tool path is calculated again. Why doesn't the Smart Regeneration function work when a part is reopened?
Solution
Make sure that "Customer Defaults --> Manufacturing --> Operation --> Tool Path --> Save Smart Regeneration Data" is toggled on. When that is on the Smart Regeneration data should be stored in the part, and be usable after you have saved and reopened the part.
