How to disable associative view alignment from parent and projected views.



Solution

 1. In the Part Navigator, hover the cursor over the Projected or Section 
 View, 'MouseButton3-->View Alignment'. 
2. Under the List grouping, highlight 'Hinge' in the Method column. 
3. Under the Placement grouping, uncheck the 'Associative Alignment' option. 
4. OK the View Alignment dialog. 
The views will now move independently of each other. 
 
To disable this option for new views: 
1. In the Menu, select 'Preferences-->Drafting'. 
2. Expand 'View' and highlight 'Workflow'. 
3. In the General grouping, uncheck 'Associative Alignment'. 
4. OK the Drafting Preferences dialog.
