How to add a Revision column to a Parts List and then save the Parts List as
a template.
Solution
How to add a Revision column to a Parts List:
1. Select a column in the Parts List,
'MouseButton3 (MB3)-->Insert-->Columns to the Right'.
A new column will be created.
2. Select the newly created column.
'MB3-->Settings'.
3. Highlight 'Column'.
4. Toggle the Category to 'General'.
5. Select the 'Attribute Name' icon.
6. Select from the list: DB_PART_REV
7. OK the Attribute Name dialog.
8. Set Scope to 'All Cells in Column'.
9. OK the Settings dialog.
How to save the Parts List as a template:
1. Hover the cursor over the upper left-hand corner of the Parts List
to highlight the entire Parts List.
2. 'MB3-->Save As Template'.
3. Enter or Assign a Number and Revision.
4. Specify the folder to save the template.
5. OK the Save As Template dialog.
How set the saved template to be used when creating a Parts List:
1. Select 'File-->Utilities-->Customer Defaults'.
2. Expand 'Drafting' and highlight 'Annotation'.
3. Select the 'Parts List' tab.
4. Under the Template Name group, in the Teamcenter Integration field,
specify the Parts List template to be used.
For example: @DB/pl_template_1/A
5. OK the Customer Defaults dialog.
6. Re-start NX.
Now when a new Parts List is added to a drawing, the template with the Revision
column will be automatically be used.
