When importing from a TIA Portal project a message box appears with the following message:
"Failed to open the file. It may not be compatible to the selected TIA Portal version. Check if it can be opened with the chosen TIA Portal version and retry your action."
Typical cause of this error message are:
- Missing TIA Portal packages in the TIA Portal installation that is being used by AD.
Solution
Install the missing packages, restart the machine and attempt the workflow again.
