In a standard parts server-based setup, the administrator is able to place parts but it does not work from other network client machines. They see an error that standard parts were not configured correctly. What might be a reason for this error?
Solution
On the Standard Parts Administrator machine go into configuration wizard. Check to see if the locations mentioned there use UNC Paths.
(e.g. \\Server\Machinery as opposed to C:\Machinery)
If it uses a drive letter as in the latter case, you have to correct this to UNC paths and create a new database.
The old database needs to be discarded.
