In this scenario the Mesh window is not shown when the user clicks on the Mesh icon.
When Solid Edge settings are restored to defaults (by manually deleting the registry entries) the Mesh window is shown normally.
However the issue reappears.
Solution
If you define a folder for Nastran scratch directory and then you delete this folder, the folder is automatically created when needed. However If you do not have write access to the upper folder, the scratch folder is not automatically created when needed and this causes the issue with the Mesh window
disappearing.
For example:
Set Nastran scratch directory to: C:\Users\demo\AppData\Roaming\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\SESimulation\
Then delete the folder \SESimulation\.
Solid Edge was not able to create a new \SESimulation\ folder because the logged in user has no write acces to the upper folder C:\Users\demo\AppData\Roaming\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\
The fix is to set the Nastran scratch directory to a different folder, where the user has write permissions.
