Where do you find the SE CID / Composite number in Windows 10?

Solution

For Node-locked licenses in 2019 and prior, go to Start -> All Apps -> Solid Edge XXX -> Licensing -> License Utility. The SE CID will be shown in the top right hand corner of the License Utility.

For Node-locked licenses in 2020 and after, go to Start -> All Apps -> Solid Edge 2020 -> Licensing -> License Utility. The Composite2 will be displayed directly above the license option radio buttons.

For Floating licenses in 2020 and after, the Composite ID is what needs to be used. We have included a utility called "getcid.exe" in the Solid Edge 2020 Program folder. Running this utility will bring up a cmd window showing "Composite = XXXXXXXXXXXX".  If multiple composite hostid's are found, this indicates that your computer has multiple network adapters. In most cases the first Composite should be used unless a different network adapter is the active adapter.
