NX When Extruding a one degree Spline, a Convergent body is the result

When Extruding a one degree Spline, a Convergent body is the result instead of a Solid Body.

Solution

This is the result of the Modeling Preferences set.  To avoid this, edit the Modeling Preference toggling OFF the "Treat Degree 1 Spline as Polyline" on the Convergent tab.
