Details
After setting up a new SharePoint server with Insight, trying to run the "Initialize Insight Services" command and is returning the following error message: "Initialize Insight Services. The SQL Server Login Name is not present in any of the Content databases. Add the name to all Content databases you plan to use with Insight."
Solution
This is occurring because the SharePoint configuration was defined to access a custom SQL Server instance. When setting up the SQL Server user to be used to Initialize Insight Service you need to be working in the custom SQL Server instance that SharePoint is using and not the default instance.
