NX Determining the part family template part/revision used to generate the Part Family member

In an assembly that contains multiple Part Family members, the user wants to know how to deteremine what part family template was used and also what was the revision of the template file when
the part family template was generated.

Solution

In NX, the user can make the Part Family member the Displayed Part, then go to Tools --> Part Family and it will raise the information pop-up that the changes must be made in the Part Family template and it will list the name of the Part Family Template part. but does not list the revision the template part.



In Teamcenter, executing impact analysis "Where Referenced (POM)" on the Part Family members Item Revision object will lists the revision of the Part Family Template that the member was generated from.
