If opening a FEM or SIM file in the Pre/Post application of NX/Simcenter 3D Manager takes a long time to open, The following procedure may be useful in managing the delay time.
Solution
This issue may be due to large results files in the CAESolution Dataset being automatically exported to the Teamcenter TEMP folder. The workaround is to use File -> Utilities -> customer defaults and select The Teamcenter Integration option/ General Tab. Uncheck the Export Associated File Checkbox, OK the dialog and restart NX Manager.
Upon opening the Solved Model, The Temporary directory is created but is empty. If it is desired to download one or more files, RMB on the SIM file, in the Simulation Navigator.and select Download Teamcenter Associated Files...
Examination of the Teamcenter TEMP Folder, set by the Windows environment variable,
and the binary results file can be loaded into the Post Processing Navigator.
