Details

The User needs to create some etches in an unbent state.  However, selecting the elements from the corresponding sketch will not allow some lines to be selected, and/or some lines will not result in an etch.

Solution

The Etch feature is face oriented, so every part of an etch has to lie on the same face.

One workaround would be to split the sketch into different sketches, where every sketch lies on one single face.  Even if the face is a bend area this will work.  So you may have to split some lines which cross faces, into multiples.  This will result in split etches - which is the disadvantage of this workaround.
