In NX11 and previous releases, to create a reference set CSYS for a component, users needed to first set the environment variable UGII_ALLOW_REFERENCE_SET_CSYS=1 which activates the Create Reference Set CSYS option in the Reference Sets dialog shown below.



Users could then add such files as a component and specify the reference set containing the Reference Set CSYS and the component CSYS would be aligned to ABS coordinate system by default.




Solution

In NX12 users can now use the more robust Assemblies "Product Interface" functionality. This function allows the user to define many different types of interface objects to allow them to more easily place components into the assembly. These interface objects can be named and will be listed in a "Component Anchor" list when adding a component with interface objects defined.
