NX How to Chain the Selection of Curve Geometry

The ability to chain curves, when selecting WEDM geometry, has changed from NX10 to NX12.

To Demonstrate the Solution:

Step 1: Open the wire_edm.prt from the UGII_CAM_TEMPLATE_PART_ENGLISH_DIR.

Step 2: Do a SaveAs on the part and name it:  my_wireedm_chain_curve.prt

Step 3: Go to the Manufacturing Application.

Step 4: Select PROGRAM from the Program Order View.

Step 5: Select "Create Operation" from the "Insert" group.

Step 6: With the "Type" set to "wire_edm" and the "Operation Subtype" set to "Internal Trim" (see image   below).

Step 7: Select the "Location" settings as seen above and select "OK".

Step 8: Select the "Select or Edit the Geometry" (see image below).

Step 9: With 2 Axis Selected...change the "Selection Method" to  "Curves" (see image below).

Step 10: Select "More" from the "Top Border Bar" (see image below).

Step 11: Check "Chain Between" (see image below) and select "Close".

Note: Notice that the selection intent has changed from "Single Curve" to "Connected Curves".

Note: The "Cue Line" states: "Select start curve or edge of connected chain"

Step 12: Select the "Start Curve" as indicated in the image below.

Note: The "Cue Line" states: "Select end curve or edge of connected chain"

Step13: Select the "End Curve" as indicated in the image below.

Note: The curves/edges are chained as desired.
