In the Solid Edge Product Comparison Excel sheet I see that Autodesk Inventor migration is not available for Solid Edge Design and Drafting (SE302). However I find I am able to import Inventor files into Solid Edge Design and Drafting. Why?
Solution
Opening 3D files from another software into Solid Edge for viewing/reviewing purposes is a basic requirement for CAD software. Accordingly Inventor file translation is supported in Solid Edge Design and Drafting. However this should not be confused with Inventor file migration - which is not supported in this instance.
