Summary

Details

Whenever we open a part using NX 12.0.2 MP4 manager in combination with TC 11.4.0.11, we get an error:

Error During Save
==================
Unable to create the following export directory: C:\Windows\******
Status: 1020010, Reason: No write access.

 <OK>

And after pressing OK

Hit OK to continue
==================
Unable to create the export directory

<OK>

Also after continuing, and trying to save parts, errors occur.

Solution

Found out that the "current directory" was set to C:\Windows\. A general user indeed does not have write access to this folder, nor would it be a good idea to use this system folder for this purpose.

We did found the root cause of this issue.

TC RAC is started with a script, run from the desktop using a shortcut. The shortcut has a "Start in" directory set which is the location of the script on the server. General users do not have write access to this server folder. Causing the current directory being set to C:\Windows (the folder where cmd.exe is located).
Changing the "Start in" folder to a location with read/write access, like C:\Temp\ solved the issue, and the errors went away!
